A deputy director of the Taiwan Railway Administration and 18 others
were indicted today on charges of corruption.

Huang Ming-ren, 11 otherTRA employees, and 7 contractors are said to have
given or taken bribes in connection with some 800 million NT in projects
related to the rebuilding of the southern link railway following typhoon
Morakot in 2009.
黃民仁和其他11位台鐵員工，7位廠商業者坦承收賄八億台幣，
此弊案是有關因2009年颱風破壞的南迴鐵路重建工程。
According to the prosecutors ... Huang and the other indicted rail officials
received lavish diners and were taken to bars with call girls by contractors
in exchange for special consideration in the rebuilding projects.
根據檢察官表示，黃和其他相關鐵律局官員接受廠商們在酒
吧裡的花酒招待，來換取鐵路重建案的得標。
While the prosecutor didn't seek specific terms for those indicted ... he did
note that Huang and Zhong ignored public interest and passenger safety ...
and tried to cover up their crime ... and asked that they be given stiff
sentences.
